To  extend a bidding project you will need to edit the Bidding Project. Only an owner  or consultant user can edit a Bidding Project.
Go to the specific project you want to edit in the bidding phase view and click on [1] Project Settings then click on [2] Edit Project. In the edit project form you can edit bid deadline and then save it.
