How to troubleshoot your microphone or speaker on ConsLog video chat

STEP 1: To troubleshoot your microphone and speaker, click on the dropdown next to the microphone icon on the bottom left corner.

STEP 2: (2) You will see different Microphone options you can test by clicking on each out. (3) You will see different Speaker options you can test by clicking on each one.

If you are not on a video chat with others and want to test/troubleshoot by yourself then go to the CONSLOG VIDEO CHAT TEST ROOM and do step 1 and then click on Audio Settings (4).
You can select different Microphone options (5) and test speaking. You will know if it's working when the green dots move into lines. (dots to the right of the word Microphone).
You can select different Speaker options (6) and click on the grey link below "Play test sound" for each selection. When you hear a sound it's because the speaker is working.



NOTE: If this still isn't working and you are using Windows, please follow the steps below. After taking the steps that fit best your situation go back to STEP 1 and 2 and test again to make sure it's working.

How to Change The Default Sound Output Device in Windows 10 - Taskbar

Click on the speaker icon in the lower-right corner of your screen.

Click on the small arrow to expand the list of devices.

Click on the playback device you want to use. That device will automatically play sound.

Click anywhere on your screen to close the playback device settings if it's still on your screen.

How to Change The Default Sound Output Device in Windows 10 - Settings

Open Settings / Click on System. / Click on Sound. / Expand Choose your output device. / Click on the playback device you want to use. That device will automatically play sound.

How to Change The Default Sound Output Device in Windows 10 - Control Panel

Open the Control Panel. / Click on Sound. / Right-click on the output device you want and click on Set as Default Device.
